Eurovision Sucks!

Who’s gonna win this year?… Who cares?

Eurovision.

The very word fills a continent with dread. An assortment of frankly odd musical styles spun out over what seems several years, culminating in a perversely rigged voting system where votes are cast for reasons which sometimes span back several centuries.

It’s a good idea at the time - “We’ll watch Eurovision, and have some snacks and beers - it will be funny!”

Yeah, it’s not funny 5 hours later when you can’t feel your backside anymore, and the sight of that cheese pineapple stick you made earlier makes you want to vomit.

There is a way to save yourself from this fate! Play on doof, don’t be sucked into the madness of 90’s retro-techno-crappy-bad-beat disco, and even worse… the outfits!

Send a few doof gifts to all your friends to remind them they too can be saved from this horror. Arrange to meet all your buddies on doof, organise a games night, have a good chat, and you can save your eardrums from this unnecessary hell.

Domingo Jones

As everyone in the whole world including Hilary Clinton’s housekeeper knows, after 20 years of collecting dust on a shelf somewhere, the Indiana Jones franchise machine has once again begun spinning into motion.

In fact, the brand itself is not the only thing that’s in need of some resurrection. It’s star, Harrison Ford is so old he has a signed copy of The Bible.

And so to celebrate the milestone of casting an actor so old he sweats dust, we’ve created a new online game!!

Ladies and gentlemen, doof.com is proud to present, ‘Indiana Bones and the Care Home of Gloom‘!

Keep Harrison alive by catching as many green pills as you can, the more you swallow, the longer you’ll stay alive in the game! Stay away from the red pills unless you want to expire…

I wanted to be cast as the main character in this game. But then there wouldn’t have been a point. And it would probably be called Domingo Jones and the playroom from hell. And I’d be catching rusks instead of pills. And dodging Michael Jackson.

The Showdown: Manchester United Vs Chelsea

Look what we did!

As everyone is aware, British football fans are loved and admired around the world from Turkey to Timbuktu for their embarrassingly pointless football-related violence, thuggery and general yobbish intimidation! Not all of them mind you.

God bless ‘em.

So we thought we’d contribute to our national pride by coming up with a game that is sure to be loved by millions around the world for it’s keeping with our fine English tradition of hooliganism.

This comes just in time to celebrate the clash of two of the nations biggest clubs in the Champions League Final, Chelsea and Manchester United!

Choose your fave team, and simply bash the hell out of the opposing side with the mother of all weapons, the Champions League trophy itself.

Have a go for yourself. Frustrated? Go on, take it out on your least fave team!

It’s Friiiiday!

Time to celebrate our two days of freedom, so get the weekend started with a bang, as we give you 2 good reasons to stay and play online games on doof.

Gifts – not always for the nice things in life. Did that bugger beat you at Cascade again? Send him the butt head gift, you can write your pal a message as well, but sometimes – the sentiment on it’s own works wonders.

What about the gal in the office you always challenge to a game of Gem Swap on a Friday afternoon, she’s beaten you for the third game in a row, and now she is getting a little too cocky – time for psychological warfare – send her Bad Teeth, she’ll be in the ladies for two hours checking her incisors, and you can get some extra practice in!

As well as being a good fun place to play and meet new friends, what about the friends you have introduced to doof? It’s a Bank Holiday weekend here in the UK, traditionally the time when the BBQ is wheeled out to sit on your patio in the rain while you try to resist the urge to get it heated up quicker by throwing lighter fuel at it.

Meanwhile, the quorn sausages are bubbling on the hob in the kitchen. So what if you had a virtual BBQ? The gifts section has steaks, burgers, drinks. Don’t chance the weather/potentially dangerous lighter fuel experiments – send all your friends a burger on doof, and then beat the hell out of their score on Kazzooball!

I saw this advert for a knitting club on a noticeboard in a newsagents…. After having read through it and finally given in to its charm, I was lured in and ready for a great night of knitting fun…

So I’m sold!
Date of event… Check.
Time of event…. Check.
Location of event….err… Woops. I was looking forward to it as well.

At least at doof we know how to setup events properly… Look!

I know, I’m going to set up my own event!

No, it’s not our birthday, we’re not suffering a mid-life crisis, wearing leather pants or buying oddly coloured cars.

We’ve just been given the much-coveted honour of being included in the Startup 100 ‘Best New Business‘ list. We’re there at the respectable rank of number 45! Look:

Apparently we’re one of the best, most exciting, promising and disruptive new businesses shaping the start-up market right now. Which is exactly what we thought all this time!

That’s nice isn’t it? Anyway, the awards say “If they’re hot, they’re here” Which is quite appropriate as the flappy bit on the air con unit where the breeze comes out is broken and we’re roasting.

doofathon 2008 - We have a winner!

So the results are in, our nerdy database guy has given us the outcome of ‘doofathon 08‘, and we have to say… it was an astounding result!
